The highlight of this walk is the spectacular view of Sterkspruit Falls. It’s an easy walk from Monks Cowl Camp and the route is well-marked and roughly 4km in length.
Duration: 4 hours
Difficulty: Easy

This is a circular route with some uphills and is described as mild to challenging. It is well-marked, starts at Monks Cowl Camp and ascends towards the Sandstone cliff line of the lower berg with magnificent views of the Champagne Valley below. En route, you will encounter the magnificent Crystal Falls.
Duration: approximately 6 hours
Difficulty: Moderate

A massive boulder balances between the walls of the gorge and dappled light and sunshine creates a kaleidoscope of colour at Rainbow Gorge. This is a moderate walk and the path heads through forests and meanders along the river with boulder hopping to reach the end. Return the same way.

One of the most popular day hikes in the Drakensberg, the Tugela Gorge path meanders up next to the Tugela River on a relatively easy gradient with views of the sheer cliffs of the Amphitheatre ahead. A perfect spot for refreshing summer swims.

The Amphitheatre is one of the most accessible parts of the main escarpment. Drive to the Sentinel Car Park. After approximately 3 hours of climbing hikers can be on top of the rugged basalt mountain, taking in the
magnificent landscapes and visiting the top of the Falls. Ascend the Amphitheatre; via the Chain Ladders or up the Gulley.
