Join the Drakensberg Experience

It’s a legal requirement to be a member of a registered Community Tourism Organisation (CTO) to renew your business licence and there are several significant benefits:

  • Have exposure on our social media platforms
  • Be on our annual MAP
  • Distribution of 20 000 maps to all major airports
  • Have access to our video which showcases the area and all the activities available
  • Get opportunities for representation at trade and travel shows
  • Be part of a great team that is passionate about showcasing the Drakensberg region
  • Be involved with our municipality in helping build tourism in the region
  • Help us create campaigns for improvement and change in our area

Members are encouraged to:

  • Participate in building our fabulous brand
  • Keep their listing on the website up to date
  • Assist with content for social media
  • Liaise with committee members to address ideas or concerns
  • Participate in competitions or help host delegates who might assist us in growing our reach
  • Help represent the area at trade or consumer shows

  1. Complete the membership information form (here below …)
  2. Calculate 2022 payable:
    • Once off joining fee – R450.00
    • Hotels / Bed & Breakfasts / Self-catering venues per bedroom
      1 to 3 rooms pay: R850.00 4 to 10 rooms pay: R960.00
      11 to 20 rooms pay: R1060.00 21 and more rooms pay: R1550.00
    • Businesses – R850.00
  3. Pay directly into the organisation’s bank account:

    4. Fees are payable on joining and thereafter on the 1st of January each year.
    5. Your Registration Certificate will be emailed to you.
