Situated on a ridge overlooking the Bell Park Dam with magnificent views of the Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peaks of the Central Drakensberg and comprising two self-catering chalets.

Bahati Tree Lodge is an exceptional double storey, fully equipped, 4 sleeper self-catering timber
chalet. The upper level open plan living and kitchen area, some 4.5metres above ground level, includes a
fireplace and sleeper couch and leads out onto the full length deck with a gas barbeque (braai) which, in
turn, gives access to an amazing vista of magnificent mountain and lake views. The remainder of the
upstairs living area consists of an extra length double bed, en-suite bedroom, a jacuzzi/spa bath and
a ‘forest view’ shower. The entire bedroom area is constructed around a live, glass-encased mature
live tree with two other visible trees visible from various points just outside.
The ground level consists of a twin bedded en-suite bedroom leading in to a room-sized, glass walled
shower looking out onto stupendous views of the Bell Park Dam and the mountains beyond. Access
from this bedroom to the living area is via an external stairway. Hence the sleeper-couch to
accommodate families with younger children.
This unique venue is completed with a South African type braai area, fire-pit and a rock pool
swimming pool just a few metres away.

Bergvlei Cottage is a stand-alone conventionally constructed, fully-equipped , self-catering 6-sleeper
chalet. A mountain-view, shaded patio area with a barbeque (braai) area leads into an open plan
living room with fireplace and DSTV, the kitchen and sunken dining area.
The main double en-suite bedroom has a bath and stand-up, multi-functional shower. The second
bedroom on the mezzanine floor consists of a curtained off area with a double bed one side and two
single beds as well as a mountain-view reading alcove on the other side. This bedroom is serviced by
a shower bathroom downstairs.

The wooden deck at the bottom of the garden is a photographer’s dream especially at sunset.
