Cathkin Trails for Mountain Bikers

Cathkin Trails is a non-proft organisation based in the Central Drakensberg. We are passionate about mountain biking and are dedicated to developing and maintaining a network of mountain bike trails in the Cathkin Valley area.

To date 30 kilometres of trails have already been built and marked and a further 10 kilometres have been built, ready to be marked.

Fees: Cyclists need to sign an indemnity form and pay at the various start points before using any of the trails. A wristband will then be issued for easy identification by landowners and other trail users.

The starting points are The Nest Hotel, Valley Bakery, Mountain Splendour, Ardmore Guesthouse, Champagne Sports Resort,  Drakensberg Brewery

The current fees are:

R50 per day for cyclists;
R200 per week;
R700 for Annual membership and get unlimited use of the trails.
