Things To Do

Cathedral Peak Wine Estate

Cathedral Peak Wine Estate offers wine tasting and cuisine. Informal wine tastings are available Tuesdays to Fridays from 09h00 – 15h30. We offer formal wine tasting with our Cellar Master on Saturdays from 10h00 to 11h00 and we are open for informal tastings on Saturdays from 09h30 – 13h00. Closed on Sundays, Mondays and Public Holidays. Group bookings are welcome, please book in advance.

We offer a selection of wine ranges to the public for tasting. Wines with a sense of place are driven by our heritage. This wine range incorporates all the elements of living in harmony with nature. These wines are underpinned by Pinotage and each blend has at least 30% Pinotage in the blend. (Unesco 985, 2012 is the flagship wine of Cathedral Peak Wine Estate – aromas of blackberry and smoky undertones.) Wines of distinction is a range that is built around people with remarkable attitudes and achievements – for each we assigned their own label and a wine that is unique (Mad, Chairman’s Reserve, Premier’s Blend and KP.) The Ukhalamba Range is a selection of slightly lighter wines that include a Rose and white wines from the 2015 harvest onwards.

The venue serves tasty cuisine and it makes sense to sit down and enjoy the beautiful surrounding area. We offer a wide selection of interesting dishes to tantalise every palate. Some of the offers on the menu include eggs benedict, kudu carpaccio, warthog potjie, Drakensberg bobotie and a cold meat and cheese platter. The venue area is stunning with great mountain views of the Central Drakensberg and the game farm to look over. As a guest you are welcome to come and enjoy the tranquil bushveld kopjes and the views of the dam.
